Hope you are well and happy! I thought this would be a better way of letting you know what, and how (and who?!) I'm doing; since my emails are sporadic at best. Also, it's been a long time since I've attempted to keep a journal and I thought this might help me make a few decisions about my life!

I went for a really long walk on Sunday, with a guy that I've met recently (seems funny how comfortably I can say that compared to this time last year!). We walked to the top of a big hill not too far from my parents house, it has a huge mound of earth right on the top - looking slightly like a pimple. The view from the top is breathtaking in every direction.

We took a couple of beers up with us, and sat at the top enjoying the in the sun. As amazing as the view was, all I could think about was the funny, intelligent, kind guy sat next to me. I can't believe how relaxed I was in his company (we were out together for 7 hours!), it's only the third time we've met.
I hope I didn't screw it up by saying anything really stupid...

We have another date arranged for this weekend - please keep your fingers crossed for me!

I don't really have any other news to report - Work is the same as ever, although my end of contract day is now only 2 weeks away! I'm not worried about it anymore, I'm actually pretty excited about leaving. I have an interview for another job this friday, It's not a job that I considered doing before really - but it's the kind of work which doesn't follow you home in the evening, which will suit me perfectly while I think about things, keeping an eye open for more interesting career prospects. I think some big changes are ahead in my life, I haven't really had any direction for a while and the enthusiasm for my currently job left me a while ago. I suddenly realised how perverse it was to be so worried about the prospect of losing a job which no longer gives me any enjoyment or satisfaction! So although I still don't know what I want to be when I eventually grow up (strange saying that at 28!), at least now I can cross one more off my list of possible jobs.

I appear to have missed the boat on my idea of opening up a coffee shop - as they are beginning to spring up everywhere around here (mostly Starbucks, Nero's, Costa...), stil I think there could be room for a truly cool independant!

Ok off to work now!

Si.
